Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information DankProxies.com
("DankProxies", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and what rights you
have. It applies to our website and to the customer dashboard and API.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, business name,
website, and the use-case description you provide at signup.
- Verification information — where we need to verify a
business before activation, the details you supply for that purpose.
- Billing information — billing address and a record of
your transactions. We do not collect or store full payment card
numbers. Card details are handled directly by Stripe, our payment
processor.
- Service usage data — bandwidth consumed, timestamps, plan
state, IP addresses you add to whitelists, and API request metadata. We
use this to meter your plan, enforce quotas, bill accurately, and
investigate abuse.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and log data
from your visits to our website and dashboard, used for security and
troubleshooting.
2. What we do not collect
We do not inspect, log, or retain the content of the traffic you send through
the proxy network. Your requests are routed by our upstream suppliers directly
between your systems and your destinations; they do not pass through our
application servers. We meter the volume of bandwidth used, not what it
contained.
3. Connected mailbox and Google user data
Order Intelligence is an optional feature for eligible customers. If you
connect Gmail, Outlook, or another mailbox, we request read-only access so we
can identify retailer order, shipping, cancellation, return, and refund
messages. We do not request permission to send, edit, or delete email.
- Data accessed — your connected email address and the
headers and content of messages likely to contain retail order or
shipment information.
- How it is used — solely to provide the customer-facing
Orders, Tracking, Analytics, and Alerts features you choose to use.
- What is stored — derived order facts such as retailer,
order number, buying-account and master-inbox email addresses, product
details, totals, status, delivery address, carrier, tracking number,
timestamps, provider message identifiers, and one-way deduplication
hashes.
- What is not stored — raw message bodies, full email
headers, unrelated personal email, normal mailbox passwords, or payment
card data. Message content is discarded after processing.
- Security and access — OAuth access and refresh tokens are
encrypted at rest. Access is limited to the automated processing needed
to provide the feature and to authorized personnel when required for
security, legal compliance, or support you request.
- Sharing and restricted uses — we do not sell Google user
data, use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or training general AI
models, or transfer it to third parties except infrastructure providers
acting on our instructions as necessary to operate the feature, or when
legally required.
- Retention and control — disconnecting a mailbox wipes its
stored credentials and stops future access. Derived order and shipment
records remain under the account-retention rules below so your order
history continues to work; you may request their deletion by emailing
support. You can also revoke access from your Google or Microsoft account
settings at any time.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google
API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
4. Why we use it
- To provide, meter and support the service you have purchased.
- To process payments and issue invoices.
- To send service messages — balance alerts, receipts, security notices and
material changes to our terms. You can turn balance alerts off at any time
in your settings or via the unsubscribe link in any alert email.
- To verify accounts and prevent, detect and investigate abuse or fraud.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third
parties for their own marketing.
5. Who we share it with
- Stripe — payment processing and billing.
- Upstream proxy network suppliers — we create an account
with our supplier on your behalf, identified by an opaque reference. We do
not pass them your name or email address.
- Infrastructure providers — our hosting and email
providers, acting on our instructions.
- Law enforcement or regulators — where we are legally
required to, or where necessary to investigate abuse of our network.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is open and
afterwards for as long as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes
(generally seven years). Usage and audit records are retained for up to two
years to support billing disputes and abuse investigations. Technical logs are
retained for a shorter period, typically 90 days.
7. Security
We encrypt data in transit using TLS. Upstream proxy credentials are
encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and
authenticated with keys rather than passwords. No system is perfectly secure,
but we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information, and
we will notify affected customers promptly if a breach affects their data.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct,
delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain
processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California, the EEA and the UK
have specific statutory rights in this area. To exercise any of these, email
support@dankproxies.com from your
account address and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Note that some information must be retained even after account closure where
we have a legal obligation to keep it, such as transaction records.
9. Cookies
Our dashboard uses a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. It is
required for the service to work and is not used for advertising or tracking. We
do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies on this website.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our systems are operated there. If you
access the service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to
and processed in the US.
11. Children
The service is for business use and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do
not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email or in
the dashboard before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will
be updated.
