Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") forms part of our Terms of Service. Every customer must accept it before their plan is activated. It also passes through requirements imposed on us by our upstream network suppliers.

The principle: our service is sold for lawful collection of publicly available information and for legitimate testing and verification work. It is not sold for fraud, intrusion, or harassment. We enforce this.

1. Permitted uses

  • Collecting publicly available web data for price comparison, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Advertising verification and ad fraud detection.
  • Search engine results and local SEO monitoring.
  • Brand protection, including detecting counterfeits and unauthorised resellers.
  • Quality assurance and testing of your own applications from different networks and regions.
  • Availability and uptime monitoring of services you are authorised to test.

2. Prohibited activity

You must not use the service to:

  • Commit or facilitate fraud of any kind, including payment fraud, carding, advertising or click fraud, or the use of stolen payment credentials or stolen accounts.
  • Gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account or network, including credential stuffing, brute-force attacks, password spraying, or exploiting vulnerabilities in systems you do not own or have written permission to test.
  • Conduct attacks on networks or hosts, including denial-of-service attacks, or high-volume traffic intended to degrade a target's availability.
  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages of any kind, or support phishing.
  • Distribute malware, ransomware, or other malicious code.
  • Access, store or distribute child sexual abuse material, or any other content that is illegal to possess or transmit.
  • Harass, stalk, threaten, or dox any person, or collect personal information for those purposes.
  • Violate export controls or sanctions, or use the service from a sanctioned jurisdiction.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights or misappropriate trade secrets.
  • Resell or sublicense the service without our prior written agreement.
  • Circumvent our bandwidth metering, quota enforcement, or billing.

3. Your legal responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with all laws that apply to you, and with the terms of service of any website you access. Different jurisdictions treat automated data collection differently; some sectors, such as ticketing, are subject to specific statutes. Obtaining legal advice about your intended use is your responsibility, not ours.

You are also responsible for handling any personal data you collect in accordance with applicable data protection law.

4. Enforcement

We investigate credible reports of misuse. Where a violation is confirmed we may, depending on severity:

  • suspend the affected proxy credentials immediately;
  • suspend or terminate the account without refund;
  • retain and disclose relevant records to law enforcement where required or appropriate.

We maintain an audit record of account activity to support these investigations. Serious violations — particularly fraud, intrusion, and illegal content — result in immediate termination without warning.

5. Reporting abuse

If you believe our network has been used to harm you or your systems, contact abuse@dankproxies.com. Please include timestamps with time zone, the IP addresses involved, and any relevant log excerpts. We acknowledge reports promptly and investigate every one.

6. Changes

We may update this AUP, including where an upstream supplier changes its own requirements. Material changes will be notified in advance by email or through the dashboard.
